Product Description Tapco, Inc. T6 Black 6 Position SKS Reader Reviews This is a great kit for the SKS owner who still wants to sport his bayonet from time to time. (In Texas, you can't keep your bayonet on the rifle when outside your home. It seems the law allows us to carry loaded rifles capable of shooting something 400 yards away, but you can't leave a blade longer than 5 inches on it. Go figure!) I had only one small gripe -- I'd like to be able to restore my rifle to its original condition with its wooden stock. In order to use this kit, you have to take a rivet out of the wooden handguard on the gas assembly. Then you put the gas tube inside the synthetic handguard and fasten it with a rivet (using a vise). So it isn't reversible. I solved this by ordering a Tapco handguard complete with gas tube already assembled. If you do this, make sure you order the correct variant of the gas tube (Yugoslavian, Chinese, etc.). Otherwise, this stock kit is great! Comment | Permalink | (Report this)
