This scope is an overall good scope. I mounted it on my remington 700 .30-06. I also added a trejectory knob by Kenton Industries for ~ $70.00 Ths scope handles the recoil fine of a larger caliber. I took the gun coyote hunting yesterday, my only gripes are that when the sun was rising/setting, sun glare was a pretty big problem. I didn't have the sun shade on, so perhaps it was my fault. My other gripe was nearing dusk (about an hour before sun down) it was nearly impossible to make things out through the scope even if it were clearly evident with the naked eye. I think part of this is due to the fact that it is only a 40mm scope rather than a 50mm. So if your going to hunt in dusk conditions I recomend a scope that is 50mm than 40mm to catch more light nearing dark. Comment | Permalink | (Report this)
